Thanksgiving

29 Nov

Yesterday was the Thanksgiving Day holiday in America.

I like Thanksgiving. And I like my daughters to know about their U.S. heritage.

So, lucky for me, my wife is an excellent cook!

She makes a wonderful, American-style Thanksgiving dinner for us every year!

In honor of the holiday, everyone should watch one of the greatest comedy movies ever … 「 大災難P.T.A. 」(“Planes, Trains and Automobiles”) !

It’s a man’s crazy adventure to get home to his family for Thanksgiving.

Have you ever watched this movie before?

Lucky to have a full on proper American TG meal for lunch at the office.

      Thanks.

No. Not turkey … chicken instead.
Turkey isn’t easy to get in Japan … and Japanese ovens are too small to cook one.

Actually, I think chicken tastes much better than turkey anyway!

That’s kinda what I figured. Since I have chicken on a regular basis and turkey only on Thanksgiving & Christmas, I do like my turkey. I only do a turkey breast though, which are considerably smaller than a full turkey.

In Japan, chicken is the normal xmas (eve) meal. Many people here get KFC then.
