On Tuesday (January 6), my second daughter went with four of her friends to 東京ディズニーランド (Tokyo Disneyland).
They left early in the morning so that the could get in line at 東京ディズニーランド (Tokyo Disneyland) to get tickets before the line got too long.
The went in the park when it opened and stayed until closing. They’re teenage girls…so they love Disneyland!
Here are the pictures that she took (minus the ones that she and her friends are in):
They had a good time, of course.
(By the way, as I mentioned in an earlier post (click here), last year was the 25th anniversary of the opening of 東京ディズニーランド (Tokyo Disneyland). When I came to Japan, 東京ディズニーランド (Tokyo Disneyland) was only seven years old!)
hi, i am goin to disneyland tokyo this december. i m very worried that rides might be close.. any advice?

Sorry, I’m not sure what you mean.
Even during New Years (Japan’s biggest holiday), all of the rides at Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea are open unless there is a particular reason (such as for safety).
Both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea have their X-mas promotions scheduled for Nov 10 – Dec 25 this year.

HAHAHA! You don’t have to rub it in! 😉

Five hours isn’t that bad. Don’t forget Canada is super huge. Most big cities are very far from each other. I noticed that the page you chose had mostly kids rides. ;P

Five hours away! Isn’t that too far to go for an amusement park (maybe I’m just surprised because I grew up in Florida and I live in Tokyo…both have many amusement parks).
My kids love roller coasters…and my wife and I used to when we were younger.
My wife hates roller coasters now…I can ride the milder ones (like the ones at Disneyland).
(I looked at that Canadian amusement park site…these rides are the ones I might choose:

Is there a bus from Shiga to Tokyo Disneyland?
I thought Universal Studios in Osaka would be more popular over there.
There’s a bus for Disneyland from near our house that has pictures of Mickey characters painted on it.

I love roller coasters. We have an amusement park back in Canada near Toronto (5hours from where I lived). It’s called Canada’s Wonderland. That has over 14 roller coasters. Last time the wife and I went, we only rode roller coasters and nothing else. The site is here for anyone interested. http://www.canadaswonderland.com/index.cfm

I live in the Western side of Japan, but I used to go there alone with my friends when I was a teenager too 🙂 There is a bus going to Tokyo Disneyland straight from my city, and it’s not that expensive.
Of course it takes longer to get there, compared with people who live near Disneyland, but not so difficult.

I don’t know Dunia Fantasi. But I’ve don’t know much about Indonesia.
Is it a very large amusement park like Disneyland?
(BTW, do you abbreviate Dunia Fantasi as “Dun-Fan”? That’s how Japanese abbreviate…for example: “remote control” is abbreviated as “remo-con” in Japan.)

Japanese people love Disney…especially girls.
You’re from the other side of Japan, so it must have difficult for you to go…but I live close to it; My kids can go there alone with their friends now.
Tokyo Disneyland is the most profitable of all Disneylands in the world…even the American ones.
Japanese people go there even on rainy days!

Well, I grew up in Florida…not too far from Disney World. And now I live not too far from Tokyo Disneyland.
(Personally, maybe I’m getting too old for “thrill rides”. I prefer less “exciting” rides.
Actually, I went on the wild roller coaster at the Tokyo Dome City with my kids…and regretted it! I wrote about it here:

No, I was a poor kid so the first time I ever went to Disneyland was a couple years ago.
Even less thrill rides!? Hmmm maybe it’s not for me.

Have you ever been to Disneyland or Disney World in America (or Paris, etc)?
The attractions at Tokyo Disneyland are the same.
If you thought Disneyland was boring, then I think you’d like Disney Sea even less. It’s less about “thrill” rides at Disney Sea than Disneyland is.

Does Disney Sea have any good rides? I went to Tokyo Disneyland and while some rides were good (Space Mountain) most were kind of dull.

Tornadoes28 & Tom…
You both went to the Tokyo Disney Resort in 2004! (Except different parks).

How old are your sons? Have they been to California Disneyland?
How often do you visit Japan?
Tom…
Yes, Tokyo Disneyland is cold in winter. We went as a family for New Years a couple years ago…quite cold.
(It was cold for my daughter last Tuesday, too).
(BTW, if you visit Tokyo Disneyland at New Years…you can see Mickey & Minnie Mouse wearing formal Japanese 着物 (kimono).)
We have been to Tokyo Disney Sea a couple times. It’s nice for adults…but my kids prefer Disneyland (most kids do).

I liked Disney Sea when I went back in December 2004 – it was freezing though.
