Summer in October

12 Oct

Today the temperature got up to 31℃. That’s the warmest it’s been in Tokyo in the month of October since records have been kept (since 1885).

It’s forecast to return to “normal” autumn temperatures tomorrow.

Thanks to several typhoons, it’s been quite a hot October. Down here in Fujisawa, it was 33.

Do typhoons raise the temperature? I had never noticed.

But Tokyo hasn’t had a typhoon for a couple of weeks.

There have been several that have passed by in the past couple weeks. They bring up tropical air with them, even if they don’t hit this area.

I hadn’t noticed the weather gets warmer from a typhoon.

You haven’t? It’s pretty common knowledge. I’ve always noticed that the day after a typhoon tends to be hottest.

I know that the sky is always clear and blue without a single cloud after a typhoon passes.

Yeah, that’s true. What I’ve noticed with this typhoon is that the temperature is increasing throughout the night and will be warmer tomorrow afternoon.

Well, the 天気予報 (weather forecast) says that it’ll get up to 20° – 22°C for the next few days.

Warmer…but nothing like the 31°C that it got up to last Saturday (when I wrote this post).

if you were in KSA (kingdom of saudi arabia), that temperature would be considered normal, the highest temperature in KSA is 41-49 C >_<

unfortunately, I don’t keep track on the temperatures in the month but all I know is that, summer = very very very very hot dry weather, fall and spring = very very humid and winter = bone chilling cold >_<

Summer is hot and dry, but spring is humid there?

        That’s interesting!

I was wondering if this was normal for October, been hoping it would be closer to 20 by now. I love Autumn and Winter.

It’s unusally warm this week, but every October in Tokyo the weather flucuates … not normally this warm though.

It’s not consistantly cool until late October.
