Little League World Champions…again

31 Aug

The 2015 Little League World Series just ended. As it is every August, it was played in Pennsylvania, USA.
Many times the champion game has been played between USA vs Japan…and it was this year too.

I’ve written a post about the 2010 World Series that Japan won against America. (Click here to read it.)

Japan won the 2015 World Series, too.  The final score was Japan (18) – USA (11).

Japan are the 2015 Little League World Series Champions.

Congratulations to all of the teams from every country! They all played well!

The Japanese team celebrating their victory.

Did you watch the game on TV?  Even better…were you there at the stadium in America to see it?

We only started watching at the top of the 4th, and by then, Japan was already ahead. What I saw was very sad for Pennsylvania; the poor pitcher was struggling. Japan’s defense is awesome! I am embarrassed to say that although I am an American, I was rooting for Japan since I am ethnically Japanese! Those boys, though, some of them are so tall, I kept wondering if their birth certificates had been properly checked!!🙂

No need to be embarrassed … I understand your feeling.
I cheer for America when they play in an international competition, and I cheer for Japan when they do … but it’s hard to choose when it’s Japan vs USA!
I’m American, but I’ve been living in Japan most of my life. I support both!

I didn’t even know that they have a little league world championships. But I guess it is no surprise when coming from a country where baseball practically doesn’t exist (in fact I don’t even know any clubs here or that a league might exist..)

In recent years, soccer has become the most popular sport in Japan. But it had been 野球 (baseball).
Baseball is still the most popular sport here after soccer.
