The three-year anniversary of the tragic 2011 March 11th earthquake and tsunami is in six days.
One couple who lost their daughter on that day recently received a letter she had written to them in 2004.

Thank you for sharing. We arrived in Japan in early 2013 so we did not experience the devastation but it was still very much on people’s minds and stories being told. Lets hope that is a once in a lifetime event.

I’ll never forget the day of that earthquake and tsunami! It was such a powerful, terrifying ‘quake! Even down here in Tokyo, it was so strong.
I can’t believe the third anniversary of that day is already coming up. Doesn’t seem like it was that long ago!
