Did you forget about Groundhog Day? I hadn’t thought about it in years…but saw it mentioned recently on the internet and was reminded about it.

No groundhogs in Sweden, but I like that movie!

Does Sweden have a unique animal (like Australia has koala and kangaroo, China has panda) ?

I am not sure about any “Sweden only” animal. We have the same fauna as the adhering countries Norway and Finland. For example mooses, bears and wolves, which are scarce or extinct in central and southern Europe.

A moose is pretty unique. I’ve never seen a real one…not even in a zoo.

We always had fun with Groundhog Day when we lived in Chicago, but here in Hawaii nobody pays any attention to the day.

Really? What was done at Groundhog Day?
When I was growing up in Florida, nothing special was done on that day there either.
