Movie suggestions?

The Hollywood movies that are currently showing or will be later this month here in Tokyo are:

World War Z
White House Down
End Of Watch
Star Trek
The Lone Ranger
Gatchaman

Have you seen any of these?
Which would you recommend?

Or … are none of them worth paying to see in a theater?
If that’s the case, we’ll watch a Japanese movie.

    Another movie that is showing in Japan is “Superman: Man of Steel”.

    Should we see that one?

    Star Trek was really great! If the girls are in their teens or older, I’m sure they’ll enjoy it.

      Yes, my youngest two daughters are in their late teens.
      The oldest is twenty.

        I was never a true Star Trek fan but the recent reboot of the franchise has really impressed me. The movie is a good example of a fun Summer movie. World War Z is a downer but not as bloody as you think for a zombie movie. Lone Ranger is cute, but its too long for a movie. Im not a fan of Johnny Depp. White House Down is funny and very stupid. I could never believe Jamie Fox as a President.

        The five of us like “The Walking Dead”, “Shaun Of The Dead”, and “Zombieland”.

        Do you think we’d like “World War Z” too?

        We’re not big science-fiction fans.
        Do you think we’d still like “Star Trek” ?
        If we haven’t watched any of the Star Trek movies, would we still enjoy it?

        I love the zombie tv/movie references you mentioned but World War Z has a different vibe compared to them. I dont remember anything of the old Star Trek movies. If you have not seen the Star Trek movie that came out a few years ago you may be confused about a thing or two and miss some back story.
