In Japan, 花火大会 (fireworks shows) are popular in the summer.
I always loved to see the Japanese people wearng their traditional clothes. I also enjoyed very much staying in old ryokan with all the tradition followed therein. I don’t care much for the young Japanese emulation of hip westerners. But, c’est la vie.
Yeah … change is inevitable.
Even in the twenty-three years I’ve been here I’ve seen a lot of change.
oh oh oh oh oh oh…….are you guys wearing kimono or yukata? (I seriously can’t tell the difference OwO)
Those are yukata; light summer kimono.
Yukata are popular at summer festivals in Japan.
are there any difference between the yukata that the women wear and men wear?
Yes… the shape, design and way they’re worn is different.
are there any events that happen other than the fireworks show in summer?
There are so many different types of excellent festivals in Japan … not only in the summer, but all year.
can you tell me the ones that you like the most? (I would like to research it online -w-)
I have written many posts about various festivals.
