My blog reached one million hits yesterday! Thank you very much for visiting my blog…and I hope you’ll leave a comment often! The best part of having a blog is the feedback from visitors…so feel free to comment on any of my posts (recent ones, as well as old ones).
My blog averages about 1,500 hits a day. But the day with most traffic was just after the 2011 March 11 earthquake / tsunami in Sendai. My blog had 10,007 hits on that single day.
Just how big of a number is one million?
One million hours is over 114 years,
one million miles is more than four times the distance from the earth to the moon,
and
one million people is the approximate population of Sendai, Japan.
ahh, I didn’t mean to belittle a teachers work, oh no, what I mean is that I’m a game designer so for me a teaching job is not the path I want to be on, I would have only been using it so I could THEN move onto a game design path.
I do however have an english teaching qualification, but my heart wouldn’t be 100% in the job.

You got a teaching license but you don’t want to be a teacher?
>my heart wouldn’t be 100% in the job.
I guess teachers who do well in that profession are the ones who love teaching.

OK, thanks for the feedback.

I like monsters too. So, coincidentally, the post I wrote today is about a monster anime.
The post is here:

In Tokyo? What type of job?

Ahh, it was in Yokohama, it was just a teaching job, but I mostly applied for it just so that I could then be IN japan and begin applying for more game design related jobs.

It’s a nice area.

Nothing wrong with an English teaching job. Teachers who are serious about the job really help their students learn, I think.

Congratulations, I think I’ve only posted around 5 times in the past, chopping and changing between posting from my twitter and posting from the usual form, I’ve so far read around 90% of your posts, some of them are better the otheres (though I suppose thats really just because of my interests), but its a great blog and I look forward to every post each week.

Which ones, for example, do you like and which do you find less interesting?

ahh, for me its probably the ones more about ‘life in Japan’ (especially the events) that are interesting, some of the ones about anniversaries of American Food chains aren’t particularly interesting for me personally, I can see the effect that it has on Japanese culture, but its not for me.
As someone who’s very interested in Yokai, I’d like more Yokai related posts (though it would be rather random..)
I comment every now and then, I don’t see much point in commenting with something as basic as ‘nice post’, so I generally comment when its a subject I have quite a bit to say about, something that’s more likely to strike up a discussion, as opposed to a lone comment with little substance.
As a side note, I mentioned to you before that i was job hunting in Japan, I was recently offered a position, however I decided to decline as I wanted to continue working on my independent games along with staying with my girlfriend (now fiancé).

Did you produce that video? Excellent! And the band sounds good too. What’s the band’s name?
Your blog looks interesting…too bad I can’t read it. 😦

The last time I googled Tokyo5, I saw a clothing store by that name. I haven’t googled it since then, so don’t know if it still exists. But, hey, CONGRATULATIONS, THAT IS A MILESTONE.

Yes, I know about the “Tokyo Five” clothing label. And there’s a pop-band named “Tokyo Five” also.
Neither the clothing company nor the music band are in Tokyo…so I wonder why they chose that name.
I wrote a post about it:

I wouldn’t say abandoned, but I either don’t have time to use it because of school or I am pre-occupied with something else.
