I wrote a post before about some of the unique “Japan only” flavors of “Kit-Kat” chocolates in Japan (Click here to read it).
Well, as Kit-Kat Japan often does, they have introduced a few new flavors recently:
"Big Little Strawberry Kit-Kat"
"Maccha Assort" (6pcs of "Green Tea Kit-Kat" and 7pcs of "Milk Green Tea Kit-Kat")
"Yubari Melon Kit-Kat" (Yubari is a town in Hokkaido, Japan famous for it's melon)
Kit-Kat Japan isn’t the only company in Japan that offers unique “only-in-Japan” products.
Some others are Coca-Cola, Starbucks, Pepsi-Cola, McDonalds, Kentucky Fried Chicken and Burger King.
Currently, Burger King Japan is offering two new styles of their “Whopper” sandwich in Japan:
the “All Heavy“, which has extras of all of the condiments on the sandwich…at no extra charge (¥420), and the “Meat Monster“, which has an extra hamburger patty, bacon and chicken…this one costs almost double the normal cost of a “Whopper” (¥820).

*lol* Red Robin in the U.S. has a burger called the “Royal Red Robin.” It has a large patty, bacon, cheese, and a fried egg. Pretty good.
If you go to Smash Burger, they always ask if you want an egg on whatever burger you order.
Now, it doesn’t have egg but one other place I’ve gone too has a burger with pulled BBQ pork, bacon, cheese, and hot sauce.
I’m just a burger kind of guy. ^_^

There are many places here that offer a burger with an egg on it too. But I’ve never seen that has two burger patties, bacon, chicken…and an egg.

The strawberry Kit Kat sounds inviting… the other flavors just don’t. It will always be a personal opinion when it comes to “flavor” too. It’s funny, yet here in the U.S., we have to “request” ketchup and tomatoes for our hamburgers at any of the fast food restaurants. The big falsity is that there is a “shortage” of tomatoes!! Can you believe that? A “shortage” of tomatoes in the U.S.? It’s like anything else… just like there is a “shortage” of oil, peanuts, coffee, corn and any other commodity that makes the rich get RICHER.
The “one” that always makes me laugh here in the U.S. is when the falsity is thrown at us: “there is a milk shortage”! Again, any lie that can be used to drive the prices up for profit. The U.S. is not a third world nation, yet you would think so sometimes, by all of the “shortages” we are told about through the media. I apologize, as usual, for getting a “tad” off topic!
BTW… I would order that “Meat Monster” in a micro-second!

Ketchup and tomato aren’t standard on hamburgers there anymore?

Actually here in Japan beer prices have gone up because they said that the major brewers aren’t able to meet demand quick enough due to earthquake damage at their breweries!
I’ll pay the higher cost because, to me, beer is a “necessity”!

Your very correct, beer is a necessity. Honestly, wherever we go, ketchup and tomatoes have to be requested due to the “invented” shortage of tomatoes here.
It won’t be too long until the falsity of an orange “shortage” happens again here too, it’s been awhile for that one.
I’ll get to Tokyo one day… and it will be a blast because of the better service at the fast food restaurants and… that KISS store you have there. 🙂

The burger looks good to me, but I’m not much of a sweets eater. If I were there, I’d go for the burger.

I like beef and I really like chicken a lot (bacon is OK too)…but all of them together on one sandwich seems like too much.

I’ve been envious of the different flavors of Kit-Kat available in Japan. Maybe if I look hard enough, I can find them at Japanese grocery stores in the U.S. I’m curious about the taste.

Those strawberry bites look pretty good, but I’m allergic to strawberry so won’t be indulging. The melon ones I may try. Have had th green tea ones before and been pleased.
And for Burger King…wish they had that franchise in Kansai, but probably wouldn’t try either of those sandwiches even if they were available here.

You’re allergic to strawberries? I guess you don’t eat Japanese X-mas cake then, do you? 😉

There aren’t any Burger King places in West-Japan? There are many in the Tokyo area.
I think the prices at places like Burger King and MOS Burger are too high…I almost never eat there. If I want fast-food, I prefer McDonalds simply because it’s inexpensive. You can get “real food” for the prices at Burger King.
(The only thing that Burger King Japan, Freshness Burger and First Kitchen have over McDonalds is that they sell beer!)

Neither will I. They’re both too “over-the-top”…but not as bad as what Burger King was offering in Oct 2009!

You don’t live in Japan and you want to try those Kit-Kat…and, ironically, I live in Tokyo but I don’t have much of a sweet tooth and have tried only a few Kit-Kat flavors.

I have to admit that Kit Kats is my favorite bar although I rarely eat it since I’m pre-diabetic. Those flavors sound interesting. It’s disturbing to see those hamburgers in Japan now. The Japanese tend to look about 50 pounds lighter than Americans. Eating these burgers will probably add to the population girth.

Yes, the food that Japanese people eat now has become larger in portion size from when I first came to Japan. But, one important difference from Japan and Western countries is that Japanese people still eat healthy and have “junk-food” only occasionally.
