Today I bought a case of a new “limited edition for 2010” beer by Sapporo Breweries.
It’s called 「サッポロアイスラガー」 (“Sapporo Ice Lager“).
I couldn't resist a "ice" lager beer with polar bears on the can...it gives an image of being a real cold beer---perfect now that the weather is so hot!
Technically it’s not a “beer”, per se…but a 「発泡酒」 (low-malt beer).
Actually I prefer 発泡酒 (low-malt beer) because it tastes the same as beer but it’s cheaper in Japan because it doesn’t have the high beer tax added to it’s price.
So, beer or 発泡酒 (low-malt beer)…I enjoy drinking both but I usually buy 発泡酒 (low-malt beer) because of the price difference.
Anyways, I knew about this 「サッポロアイスラガー」 (“Sapporo Ice Lager“) beer before I bought it because of the funny TV commercial with two polar bears complaining about the heat and looking for something cold to drink.

Not a big fan of sapporo beer, prefer Ebisu more but I do like who they chose as image girls, this year it’s Mika Hazuki 🙂

Kaori Nakamura is the 2010 Sapporo Beer girl. Mika Hazuki is the 2011 beer girl:

I like your new layout. I wish I had the guts to re-do mine. I hate the plainness of gigi-hawaii, but am so afraid I will lose the content if I switch at this time.

I’d like to try that … looks pretty refreshing well sounds or taste refreshing even. Nice layout T5 although I miss the easy link to go to the next blog thats normally on top. This layout is neat and the colours are perfect for your blog title especially the design.
Anyway GOOD LUCK to the Samurai Blues later when they play against Paraguay…. I predicted Japan to win 🙂

In your previous layout where you put the title of your blog there used to be links that we readers can click to whether to read the next blog or the previous blog 🙂

You mean if you post a comment and then you could see links to the next or previous posts?
Those links are toward the bottom now (between the post and the comments).
Also, if you link the “Tokyo Five” header at the top, you can go back to the “home” of this blog and see all of the posts in order.
