粗挽きマグマチーズバーガー

5 Jun

I recently wrote a post about Lotteria’sTower Cheeseburger“.

I also mentioned last year that, in Japan, spicy food is popular in the summer and I showed some of the spicy menu items that were on the fast food menus in Japan last year.

(Click here to read that post).

Well, for this summer, the Japanese hamburger chain “Becker’s” (which is owned by Japan’s largest train operator, Japan Railways (JR)) is currently offering a new spicy burger on their menu.

It’s called 「粗挽きマグマチーズバーガー」 (“Magma Cheeseburger“).

It costs ¥820 for the burger, fries, salad and a drink or ¥470 for just the burger itself (単品).

I love spicy burgers and frequently get jalepenos on mine in restaurants!

      You like spicy food too?
You should come to Japan and try the “Magma Cheeseburger”.

Is it always spicy burgers in the summer, or does spicy Japanese food come out to play too?

Many kinds of spicy foods are popular….such as Indian, Korean, etc.
But there really is no spicy Japanese food. Wasabi is about the closest to “spicy” that there is in Japanese food.

Indeed. As much as I love Japanese food, I do yearn for the spicy stuff now and then 🙂

I love all kinds of food.
Spicy food is great (especially with beer!)

Of course I eat Japanese food most of the time…and I love it.

But I’m lucky that my wife is an excellent cook and she can make many types of international dishes including many spicy ones such as Korean kimchi, Thai curry, American “Buffalo Wings”, Mexican tacos, etc.
