I wrote a post last October about Burger King Japan’s Whopper 7, which was a giant burger that Burger King in Japan offered for a limited time that had seven patties.
(Click here to read that post).
Well, now they’ve been outdone by the hamburger chain ロッテリア (Lotteria Japan).
At Lotteria you can buy the 「タワーチーズバーガー」 (“Tower Cheeseburger“).
If you order this burger, you pay the basic price of a cheeseburger (¥160) and then an additional ¥100 per patty that you want added.
Up to a total of ten patties can be on your “Tower Cheeseburger“.
But if you order the full ten patties, they’ll give it to you at a reduced price of ¥990 (rather than the full ¥1,060).
I didn’t try Burger King’s “Whopper 7” so I definitely won’t be buying a ten patty one either!
But a double cheeseburger costs ¥260 and a triple cheeseburger costs ¥360…
Wow that is one giant burger. It beats the Windows 7 whopper hands down.
In n’ Out burger in the US used to let you build a burger as large as you want, the max they ever made was a “100×100” 100 burger patties and 100 slices of cheese…

They don’t do it anymore?
>the max they ever made was a “100×100″ 100 burger patties and 100 slices of cheese…
That sounded ridiculous so I googled it. It seems that the group that ordered (and ate) that disgusting monstrosity became an internet mini-celebrity.

I find it amusing that the media here in America was jumping all over the windows 7 whopper, but hasn’t mentioned(At least to the best of my knowledge) this burger.

Maybe it’s because Burger King is an American fast-food chain and American people would be interested in how different American chains are in other countries…but Lotteria is a Japanese chain that most Americans probably have never even heard of.

It actually looks tasty.

That’s an understatement. 😉
By the way, you work for the U.S. military base in Yokota, don’t you?
There’s a Burger King there, I believe.
When Burger King Japan offered the giant Whopper 7, did the Burger King on that U.S. base offer it too?

Damn. Who eats this stuff?

I guess no one normally eats it…but, just like when Burger King offered the “Whopper 7”, since it’s an unusual limited-time-only item some people try it for the novelty value.

Woww! Don’t think I’d buy this, even if I was in Japan. Hopefully they bring out some more edible/’less likely to cause a heart attack’ promotions when I’m in Japan studying ><!
And to anyone who can eat a full 10 patty cheeseburger, much respect…

Which fast-food chain in Japan do you like best?

Good heavens!
I do quite like Lotteria’s shake’n’flavour approach to fries, though 😉

Yeah, Lotteria‘s milkshakes are good…and often priced at only ¥100.
