MOS Bears

24 Jun

The Japanese fast-food chain MOS Burger is now offering a “Kids Set Meal” for the first time in their history.

Also if you buy any burger / small fries / medium drink set at MOS Burger from now until 2009 July 6, you’ll get a scratch card that gives you a chance to win your choice of a “MOS Burger Bearbrick Figure” or a “Pepsi NEX Bearbrick Figure“.

Bearbrick is a Japanese company that makes bear figures in the likeness of famous people or things. Mostly pop-culture related.

I wrote a couple posts about them before.

      Oh, I see.

Actually, there was a TV program on a couple days ago that was discussing staff from some companies in certain other countries that come to Japan to see the latest products on sale…and then making cheaper pirated versions in their own country.

That is awesome. I want to visit Japan so bad. I have a couple of friends who have been and they love it. Japan is a beautiful country with a beautiful culture. You have a great blog. I love it. It is very interesting, funny, intellectual and I learn a lot about the Japanese culture. Very nice.

Is it really a “kids” set. I like how you have a chance to “win” the figure. I wish they would just give it to you.

Yes, they have a “real” Kids’ Set.
It has nothing to do with the “Be@rbrick” figures…I guess I should’ve put a picture of the Kids Set on this post.

The MOS Burger Kids’ Set, according to their website, is:

      – 「チキンやさいバーガー」 (“Chicken Vegetable Burger“) or 「チキンやさいライスバーガー」 (“Chicken Vegetable Rice Burger“)

      – 「フレンチフライポテト」 (French Fries)

      – 「こどもきこにこくだものとやさいジュース」 (“Kid’s Happy Fruit & Vegetable Juice“)

      and
      – 「キッズトイ」 (Kid’s toy)

You’re referring to the Kids’ Set, not the “Be@rbrick” figures, I assume.

I don’t know why MOS Burger never offered a “Kids’ Set” before now.

MOS Burger has good sandwiches…but they’re a bit pricey, so I don’t often go there.
